Heysbrook Country Lodge

How to get there...

GPS co-ordinates at the helipad are S25º 39.308´ E030º 24.104´

Situated on the N4 highway along the well-known Maputo corridor, the entrance to the property is directly off the N4 highway one kilometre east of Waterval Onder, below the Elands falls and the NZAZM tunnel.

The entrance is on the right-hand side of the N4 (eastern side) if one is driving from Johannesburg towards Nelspruit. There are two parallel highways, which are both titled N4. The alternate (new) N4 is via the Schoemanskloof road at the Montrose turnoff. Heysbrook is not on this road, but rather is on the original N4. This road passes Waterval Boven, goes through the NZASM tunnel, past Waterval Onder and on to Ngodwana.

Heysbrook entrance is on the eastern (right if travelling towards Nelspruit) side of the N4 one kilometer past the Waterval Onder turnoff (the Tickled Trout restaurant is on this corner) just past a lay-by under a large flat-topped acacia tree. There is a yellow on black sign at the entrance entitled "Heysbrook" together with a reflective sign "B21". Do be careful here as the turnoff is on a long sweeping bend of the N4. The railway line must be crossed, and once again care should be exercised, as this is a busy line.

Once on the estate, there is a dirt road of some three kilometres. Conventional sedans can traverse this road. Follow the pointers to the lodge.
